About the Role
Charity Recruitment are recruiting for an Events Coordinator for an Environmental Charity based near Brixton in London. This is a temporary contract for 6 weeks (with a possible extension).
As the Events Coordinator you will be responsible for event coordination and project management for a series of organisational away days, including an all-staff away days for up to 200 people. You will be communicating with attendees about logistical information e.g., assigning accommodation, sharing event information, answering queries. You will be liaising with facilitators and event leads on agendas to ensure the logistics match the relevant requirements and reflect the values and outcomes of the events.
As the Event Coordinator you will be collaborating effectively with other colleagues to successfully deliver the series of away days in line with briefs, on time and to budget. Liaising with venues, ensuring our needs on accommodation, meeting spaces, facilities, accessibility, catering, and contracts are met. You will be booking and managing travel arrangements as needed, managing budgets and processing payments.
Experience of large-scale in-person event and project coordination, with a demonstrable commitment to inclusivity and accessibility
Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills
Proactive and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment
Good at negotiation, budget management and contract management
